In Design 101TM you will:
- Develop a broad, interdisciplinary understanding of design.
- Learn about the primary periods, styles, and movements; the important practitioners; and the defining principles—of architecture, fashion, graphic design, interior design, and product design.
- Become conversant in the language of design, allowing you to see visually in a more fully realized way—and to communicate more effectively with colleagues and clients in the creative and design communities.
- Experience the studio environments in which designers practice.
- Learn the culture, process, and vocabulary of design critiques.
- Develop an understanding of good design that you can use to establish corporate identities, to develop brands, to differentiate products from competition—and to make the world a better place.
